About
Pono ya Moya is an anti-disciplinary platform that centres ancestral healing and African spiritualities and similar immersions in the 'otherwise'. Through our offerings Pono ya Moya provides spiritual counsel to individuals and communities through ancient wisdom, guidance and tools.
The work we do is grounded in land-based and ancestral-led spiritual practice that understands the spiritual as intimately tied to the material and vice versa.
Grounded in ‘the otherwise’, central to our practice is providing counsel and care guided by a cosmology that values life and being in Right Relationship with our planet. Our work is done with full knowledge of our present and the histories that inform it, histories of slavery, colonialism and genocide. Our focus is the holistic well-being of those who seek our services. Through our offerings, we accompany communities and individuals in their quests for emotional, mental, spiritual and bodily well-being.
Central to our work is the notion that healing is always relational. Each of our offerings begins from a consultation wherein, through divination we seek guidance from your benevolent ancestors and guides.
Pono ya Moya is Nkgono Mantwa’s practice, a South African Stockholm-based initiated sangoma (traditional healer) and moporofeta (faith healer). Pono ya Moya is channelled with and through Mmabatho Thobejane.
